About the Bullet
Composition
of the bullet:
Barrel Twist
There are 4 basic components to every bullet. The casing, the primer, the powder, and the bullet (slug).
Besides composing of the best components the industry has to offer, our bullet is completely unique, and proprietary, with a our long tested in house patent pending design ( Patent #29871182)
The bullet is designed to be fired from a right hand barrel twist. And if you're wondering a right hand barrel twist is the near complete standard for the industry; almost all (modern and otherwise) barrels are made to that spec.
Our bullet design utilizes this feature to help generate our unique performance.
We know of no other handgun or self defense ammunition that does this
Ballistic Performance
Halo Ammunition as stated earlier has ballistic performance unlike anything else the industry has ever seen. We travel through over 18"+ of ballistic gel. To put that into perspective our competitors can test their ammunition by firing into a single ballistic gel block. We have to utilize two gel blocks to capture Halo's performance in the 9mm. When was the last time you could honestly say one just wasn't enough to handle what you have? The radius spread at which the spears detach themselves upon impact into gel exceeds 5". Giving more trauma and lethality to target. So what about our accuracy? Well honestly, we thought originally back in the day we would be sacrificing some accuracy to get what we originally intended to do, but through years of testing our design just so happens to be the most accurate 9mm round we can find. We can place 4 rounds into a playing card at 50 yards from a 4" barrel. Again, what other defense/tactical 9mm round do you know that can do that? As a recap our 9mm travels at over 1350 Ft per second (411.5 m/s), comes in around 107 +/- grains (6.93 grams). Accuracy of 2" group at 50 yards, fired from a 4" barrel (according to internal testing).
Future
Rounds:
Coming Soon
At this time, only Halo Ammunition's 9mm round is available. We are going to be accepting pre orders for our new .45 ACP soon. Other rounds are being adapted for public use as we apply our technology into other calibers and prepare for mass manufacturing. Keep a look out for the availability of future products right here on this website!
